Jaclyn Michelle here :) In 2021, it was brought to my attention that a coach had copy-and-pasted big chunks of many of my interior creature blog posts and was selling my writing to her clients as her HD teacher training curriculum, passing my work off to her students as if she were the author. I put hours of research and writing into each post and it broke my heart that this woman I had never even met felt entitled to steal from me in such a brazen way. Unfortunately, I had to get a lawyer involved. Thankfully, the situation was quickly and quietly rectified, but my lawyer advised me to create a clear "Terms of Use" section for folks to agree to before taking classes with me, in addition to copyright protecting my work (which I've done). So, without further ado:

Human Design YOUniveristy's Terms of Use

By purchasing this class, you are agreeing to the following:

1. You understand that this course and is the sole intellectual property of Jaclyn Michelle DeForge, the course creator, and is intended for personal use only. Any materials that Jaclyn Michelle did not create will be properly sourced and cited within the class, as is traditional in academic/educational settings, so you can continue your study outside of class on your own if you should so choose :)

2. You DO NOT have permission to copy, reproduce, and/or modify any of the content within for commercial use. This includes any videos, audio files, pdf documents, journal prompts, Note-Taking Guides, and any other course materials included herein. You DO NOT have permission to remove my copyright information from any of the materials you may download and utilize.

3. You DO NOT have permission to record the class, screenshot any slides, or share any of the course materials with those not enrolled (beyond for personal use).

4. You are purchasing one seat in this class, which allows you access to this class for your personal use. You DO NOT have permission to share your username and password with others so that they may access the course content without paying. If your purchase includes access to a live zoom class, you are NOT authorized to share the link to said zoom classroom with anyone who is not formally enrolled in the class.

5. If the course you are purchasing includes coaching frameworks, said frameworks are the sole intellectual property of Jaclyn Michelle DeForge, the course creator. You are NOT authorized to utilize them within your business or to sell them/share them with others in a professional capacity without my express permission. This includes, for example, sharing them on social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok, or incorporating them into your coaching practice. Instead, I can absolutely help you develop a framework or materials that you can utilize that maximizes YOUR voice and YOUR style that stands on the shoulders of all the knowledge you'll gain, and that embodies YOUR approach to Human Design :)

Violation of Human Design YOUniversity or Teacheable's Terms of Use will result in the following actions:

1. Your enrollment in the class will be immediately terminated and access to any and all materials will be revoked.

2. Your payment will not be refunded.

3. Depending on the severity, any copyright infringement and/or intellectual property theft may result in formal litigation.
